Democratic People's Republic of Korea launches 3G mobile operators

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (Republic of Korea) has a third-generation (3G) mobile service on Monday.

The 3G mobile operator its subscribers in the voice of the caller, SMS, conference calling, voice mail and interactive voice response.

The service works only in Pyongyang in the initial phase of the project and its capacity is now 126,000 subscribers.

The service will link from Koryo, a joint venture of the property of the state of Korea Post and Telecommunications Corporation (KPTC) and Egypt's Orascom Telecom currently operates GSM networks in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.
