Packer out, Kellogg in as CBS lead announcer
NEW YORK (AP) - Billy Packer is after 27 years at the helm of college basketball analyst for CBS, making way for Clark Kellogg.
Kellogg game has been the analysis and studio for CBS for 16 years. It will establish a partnership with Jim Nantz on his first Final Four in April. "With its undeniable popularity and performance over the years, Clark Kellogg all rights earned in the first place," Sean McManus, president of CBS News and Sports, said in a statement Monday. "Like Billy Packer Al McGuire or one of the most considered broadcasters, Clark is an original voice with his own style and perspective. " Packer has confirmed the move Sunday, a CBS official, The Miami Herald, which first reported the story. Packer pursues other projects basketball and refused to comment.
