Microsoft wants to pay you to make Xbox 360 games
You want to make money developing Xbox 360 games? Here's your chance. Microsoft has launched "Xbox Live Games Community" today with the hope of attracting coders Thursday to create Xbox games, according to them on the site and earn money when people buy.
Here's how it works. First become a member of the XNA Creators Club, use the XNA Game Studio tools to develop the game, and submit your creation to Microsoft that "a rigorous peer review" your creation. If your game has the right equipment, it will be added to Xbox Live Marketplace for a catalogue of three selected points in price between $ 2.50 and $ 10. Games developers net sales up 70 per cent of revenue from their Games. The Commonwealth Games Channel will launch this fall the USA, Canada and select sites in Europe, others will follow in 2009. Microsoft plans by the end of an influx of user-created games will result in a total of 360 Xbox game library of over 1000 titles. It takes into consideration the community of games, Xbox Live Arcade and games titles at retail. Linked to this is a Dream-Build-Play game development contest on the basis of XNA Game Studio projects. Microsoft says prizes for the winners will be in "surplus of $ 70000." The biggest prize is that one of the winners will receive an Xbox Live Arcade publishing contract. |
