What is Diamond?It's not Diamond!

Diamond is a document editor for Mac OS X, minimalist design is very flexible and powerful. Although on the surface it presents a unique and highly configurable document window beneath the surface, it is a fully equipped Macintosh application and the processing of a document will behave exactly as you expect it to. If you are familiar with editing rich text documents in other Mac programs, you are already very familiar with diamond.
In addition to its own format / extension. DMD, Diamond reads and writes files in RTF, RTFD, text and MS-DOC format (and more formats are on the way), whether created by Diamond or other applications, and handles them like any document-based application, including support for printing, drag and drop text, scrolling track pad, Apple and advanced features such as Expos? Spotlight, and other spaces (for convenience, Diamond's own document format is identical in functionality to RTFD, and can save text documents with extension.tex for the convenience of working with the TeX or LaTeX typsetting systems). You will be prompted to save the unsaved changes, if you have a window, and (if you wish) all remaining saved document open when you quit the application, will automatically be for you if you relaunch.

Diamond offers complete support for the expanded text font & handling capabilities of Mac OS X, so if you are familiar with editing and styling text in one of the many applications that implement (such as TextEdit, Apple Pages and many others) will be Home. Where they are in the flexibility of their windows and desktop display, so that the configuration of your own work area tailored to the projects at hand and? Most significantly? In the manner in which widows scroll horizontally, from column to column, rather than vertically through the entire text of a document. This behavior is similar to most Amar Sagoo's tofu, a popular multicolumn text reader. Unlike tofu, Diamond is, as mentioned, a fully equipped Rich Text Editor as well.
